Craftsman Abode - Sundays Furniture

From a distinctive setting to carefully chosen pieces, our homes are what make us who we are—and we love being a part of that. The Welcome Home series is our chance to speak to people that inspire us and learn what makes their house feel like a home.

Ian and Justine—a photographer and a fashion designer—live on a quiet, tree-lined street with their daughter Josephine. Their furniture is timeless and understated, the perfect backdrop for their collection of objects picked up during their travels.

What do you like most about your home?

Our dining room is our home’s centre, both aesthetically and as the space we use the most. We love the natural light it gets.

What’s your favourite time of day in the house?

The early evening—it lights up the house in a really beautiful way. Josephine loves playing with her shadows and making different shapes.

What’s the most meaningful piece of furniture you own?

Our Teak Couch has been in Ian’s family for several generations and has gone through a lot with us. It’s both timeless and sentimental.

Where do you find inspiration?

Family walks around the neighbourhood, music and cinema.

What do you do to relax?

Cooking while listening to music and playing with Josephine. Family dinners are also very important to us.

What do you like about Sundays pieces?

We like how they’re understated and work seamlessly in any space.
