Coastal Cottage

From a distinctive setting to carefully chosen pieces, our homes are what make us who we are—and we love being a part of that. The Welcome Home series is our chance to speak to people that inspire us and learn what makes their house feel like a home.

Noah is a co-founder and head of product here at Sundays and his wife Julie is a fitness instructor. Their home, built in 1935, is full of natural charm. A blend of family heirlooms, vintage furniture and lighting mix seamlessly with their Sundays pieces.

What’s your favourite thing about your home?

Its age and natural charm—it’s the oldest home in the neighbourhood.

What’s your favourite time of day in the house?

In the morning, when the sun shines through the kitchen windows. Our son plays in the room off the kitchen and we enjoy our coffee and chat about the day ahead.

Favourite piece of furniture in your home?

A roll top desk my dad designed. It was made in Calgary in 1983, the year I was born.

Where do you find inspiration?

I love watching my son navigate through life. It seems I’m learning from him just as much as he learns from me.

What do you love about your Sundays pieces?

We love the warmth of the Movie Night sofa—it’s a hug in sofa form. You really do get into it and automatically feel more at ease and comfortable.

The Plane Dining Table is solid and timeless. Our son can do anything to it, and we have no concerns he’ll damage it.
