Common Ground is the most design-forward sofa in the Sundays lineup. Made in Europe, it has a low, architectural profile and more considered aesthetic than our other collections. It has the same comfort and longevity standards as all our sofas, but with a different point of view.

Medium-plush. The cushions have a multi-density foam core wrapped in a feather and fibre blend, for a soft sink-in feel with support underneath. The feather and fibre give it a more plush sit than a typical structured foam sofa, while the foam core means it holds its shape over time.

Yes. Our LiveLife™ performance fabrics are non-toxic and PFAS-free, with none of the harmful chemicals found in many conventional fabric treatments. They’re also stain-resistant, moisture-repellant and washable, so spills clean up easily without harsh products. Designed with busy households in mind, and safe for the whole family.

The Common Ground features fixed upholstery with a 100,000 rub count, which means it is more durable than most sofa fabrics. The fixed upholstery keeps the tailored silhouette crisp and preserves the hand-finished piped edging that defines the sofa's look. For everyday spills, spot clean with a damp cloth. For a full refresh, professional upholstery cleaning is recommended.

Common Ground is made in Europe, where furniture manufacturing has a long tradition of craft and attention to detail. It shows in how this sofa is built: a corner-blocked solid beech frame reinforced at stress points, and hand-finished piped edges that reinforce the seams and keep the silhouette clean over time. Yes, the Common Ground will fit into most spaces. The sofa ships as individual modules rather than one large frame, which makes it easy to move into many homes, including apartments and smaller spaces.

Getting it in: Because the modular sofa pieces arrive separately, it's much easier to navigate doorways, hallways, elevators, and staircases than a traditional sofa. Sundays provides complimentary delivery on all items, regardless of size or price, to all Canadian provinces and across the continental US. For larger items, including sofas, beds and dining tables, we also provide free in-home assembly and removal of packaging. There is no catch—we feel that delivery and set up should be as efficient as possible.

If something doesn't work for you, we will make it right. Returns for refund or exchange will be accepted within 30 days of delivery in original condition. See our return policy for more details.

Yes! As of August 22, 2025, all purchases are covered by a limited five-year warranty, which protects against confirmed imperfections in manufacturing or craftsmanship starting from the day your order is delivered. Purchases made prior to this date remain covered under our previous two-year warranty.

Yes, our fabrics really are stain resistant! Our sofas are made with durable and cozy performance fabrics. You can easily clean up most spills with a paper towel. For tougher stains, you can use mild soap and water, or on some of our sofas you can remove your slipcovers to wash them. We recommend dry cleaning or machine washing them on a cold, gentle cycle, then hang to dry. Not sure which fabric is right for you?
