I own both the open and closed Keep Stacking Storage System boxes in white oak and I really love them! They're perfect for my apartment and I really like how I can arrange them in whatever configuration I want. I think the product photos are accurate in terms of the color of the wood. Keep in mind that wood is a natural material so there will be some variation with the pattern and grain of the wood but if you buy multiple of these and put them side by side, they all match nicely. I especially like the fact that these are not made from particle board - they're really nice quality and will last a long time with care. The hinge for the closed box works great - it opens slowly and smoothly which I appreciate (you don't have to worry about the door flopping open suddenly). I also purchased the lids separately for these boxes because even though the closed version of the box has a top surface, the lids create a nice flat even surface across all boxes if you're planning to arrange both open and closed boxes next to each other like a sideboard.
Overall, I recommend these if you're looking for a modular storage system solution for your home!

Beautiful piece. We are using an open and door cabinet for shoes and things by front door. It provides some great storage and finishes our entry space nicely.

I had two problems, more storage for my jazz record collection, and a rather specific spot in my condo, where I could place a shelving unit. I didn't want anything too high as a wooden record crate would be on top. The Keep Stacking Storage system worked perfectly!

Moving this piece around my space and finding it is solving so many problems. The proportions are so good and love the ability to stack or make a bench. Obsessed with this system.

Overall good build quality and packaged amazingly, but still arrived with some scratches and dings. Can't see how this happened during shipping based on how well it was packed, so likely occurred before all of that.
The only other complaint is that they're a bit tough to open. We're using them as nightstands and the angle we're at and would want to open them from isn't the easiest. The magnet that keeps it close is very strong and the mechanism that creates a smooth swing makes it a slow process to open all the way. Not a deal breaker, just not the most intuitive.
Other than that love that they're modular, so if we don't want to use them as nightstands forever, they can easily be used for a multitude of other options in the home. Happy with them!
